"My name is Tom Miller CEO of AMT Sales and Marketing. AMT Sale and Marketing began with a vision of assisting small to medium sized food product manufacturers find their way to profitable and solid growth in an ever-changing and costlier environment.

I formed AMT Sales and Marketing in 2006 after spending 29 years within the grocery industry. I have cultivated, many outstanding relationships throughout the trade. Relationships that are built on both knowledge and trust. I spent my first 13 years working at various store level operation positions for Jewel Food Stores in Illinois then 16 years as an Account Executive for KeHE Food distributors, now known as KeHE Distributors. My roll at KeHE was to manage key KeHE accounts such as Eagle Foods in Quad cities IL, Dierbergs Markets in St Louis, MO, Bilo/Bruno in South Carolina and Sweetbay Supermarkets in Tampa, Florida. My responsibility as the account executive was to develop and maintain all Specialty./Natural Foods business within my assigned retailer.

The relationships built while working within KeHE have allowed me to bring in several experienced and outstanding individuals to help on various ongoing projects, in many different categories. I’m proud of my relationships within the Distributor and Brokerage community. We have been able to establish networks of Brokers to work with us across several channels of distribution. These include: Gourmet/Specialty for smaller specialty stores, specialty for supermarket Distributors, direct warehouse distribution, larger mass merchandisers, as well as unique specialization stores such as all-natural foods.

What are the advantages for the small manufacturer? We have already navigated a path for you with some of the nation’s top Brokers who view our products favorably in an environment where few Brokers are willing to “pioneer” new lines anymore. Most times we enjoy working with smaller, more focused (or “hungry” as I like to refer to them) brokers trying most times to avoid the larger brokerage houses that represent hundreds of well established manufacturers. We have found that, while larger and with more available manpower, these larger brokerage groups have become content and many have totally lost their zest for selling.

With my experience, relationships and overall knowledge of the industry our group actually becomes a part of your company as your Sale and Marketing experts . We have designed our fee structure to allow small manufacturers the opportunity to be represented by the same high quality personnel that a large national branded line would without taking on the expense of a full time National Sales Manager.
